Our collections are crafted with the organic FairTrade certified and innovative biodegradable fabrics. Each garment is timeless, individually handcrafted and designed with intended longevity. All fabrics are unique to Havilah unless stated otherwise. In some cases we have the ability to source high quality dead-stock fabrics that would otherwise be landfill, in all cases we are committed to reducing unnecessary waste and reusing existing materials.
Organic Cotton
Our natural cotton garments are verified and certified organic through the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP). The yarn is made and sourced in small batches to limit waste and dyed to meet Oeki-Tex standards. Our small run of branded t-shirts are certified organic through our supplier, Little Yellow Bird.
Tencel
Tencel, a renewable and biodegrade-able fibre, is made from wood pulp from monitored forests. Our Tencel products are sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) forests and sustainably recognised.
Recycled Polyester
Made from 100% recycled materials, including plastic bottles and pre-consumer waste. Repreve, our supplier, helps offset the use of petroleum, emitting fewer greenhouse gasses and actively conserving water and energy in the process making this second life fibre better for the planet than virgin fibre.
Mohair, Alpaca & Wool
Made from natural and biodegradable fibres, we source non-mulesed mohair, alpaca fleece and wool from local New Zealand farms. Each piece is individually knitted to eliminate yarn waste.
